The editors of UEN try our hardest to be up on every latest thing that goes on with Etsy, but our humanity gets in the way sometimes!
If you know of any news that we should consider, please fill out the following form. Please provide source links whenever possible! Unverified tips will not be posted on UEN.

I keep trying to submit a tip, and it keeps telling me to recheck the verification code. I’ve tried 5 or 6 times now with different codes, and it doesn’t seem to go through. I’m going to post my info here, and you can delete it when you’re done.
Etsy seller edmdesigns has been copying my designs and the text from my listings for over 6 months now. Every time I sell something, they come out with “their original design” about a week later. The copying is so blatant that I have had regular customers ask me if I’d opened up another shop, and would I combine shipping! Documented here: http://hannahsarah.livejournal.com/208063.html

According to my IP trace, “Mr. Thurley” is Ricky Wolbrom/edmdesigns/EchoPilot.
I’ve reported the threats to Etsy, the FBI and my local police, as well as to haltabuse.org, Yahoo and Verizon. All Etsy admin said was “Thanks for letting us know.”
Personally, I feel this goes above and beyond reselling beads under your own name.

I just tried to submit something and having the same problem with entering the code. Is there someone I can email my information to?

I am having the same problem. Trying to submit a press release and it keeps saying to recheck the verification codes. I’ve done it a few times now and they aren’t going through.

It looks like no one checks these posts as there has been no response from editors either here on via email. Oh well, so much for submit a tip!

Heather we did get your tip with the press release and posted an article about your tip. The tips are getting through, sorry about the errors they are giving you. We have tested sending tips and those also went through, so I am not sure where the problem is.
Wendy we received both your tips as well.
We do not generally reply to tips unless we need more information or need to ask questions. I will reply to your email with more information.
