Hey guys! No bug this time I’m happy to report. I’ve been making treasuries in honor of the Crafty Bastards craft show going on this Sunday. All the picks were chesen specifically from the event’s directors and put into the treasuries by me. Read more here:
http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/craftybastards/
and here:

As part of our relationship with this particular event, the event directors of Crafty Bastards will be curating the homepage today and tomorrow (hence the curator name).
If you are in the DC area, definitely come by and say hello at our booth/tutorial area.
So sorry if this has created confusion for anyone and hope you enjoy their curated picks!
xoxoxo,
Mary

I have been working really hard on the new category structure, and I would like to get some feedback from both sellers and buyers. In the new structure, every item will ideally fit into one Top-Level Category and will be organized by What, Who, Where, When and How. I will be asking for suggestions from sellers who specialize in each individual Category over the course of the next few weeks to help build a list of everything that is sold within each category.
You can view the rough draft of the new Accessories category on the wiki at:
http://www.etsywiki.com/index.php?title=Categories_%26_Subcategories
If you notice that an item is missing from this Category, please add it under the header that says ‘Suggestions’ on the Wiki page, or you can add it here on the forums and I will make a note of it for you.
Thank you so much for all your help!

RevolvingDork says:
Hi all,
The showcase is now sold out, but no charges were yet made on your bills showing what dates you received.
We’ll fix this up shortly, and we’ll post when it’s all settled.

Edit
RevolvingDork says:
Okay, now everyone who purchased a showcase spot should see it in their Etsy bill.
Let me know if you have any more issues!

Bug:
Lists in the Treasury show that you have visited them while you have not.
Solution:
Go to your Flash settings manager at Adobe: Click here
Find ‘www.etsy.com’ in the list of Visited Websites. Select it. Press the ‘Delete website’ button. This will clear the Etsy.com Flash cookie we’ve stored on your computer. Return to the Treasury and press refresh and things should be back to normal.
Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience.

There was a discussion here regarding the use of “earring” and earrings” as tags. Both gave different results. kfarrel cleared the air here:
kfarrell says:
Ok guys, here’s the deal with earring vs earrings, and categories.
It was brought up that the subcategory “earring” wasn’t bringing up items tagged as “earrings”. For the subcategories, you must have that *exact* tag for it to come up in the category browser.
But this is problematic, because our search can pluralize “earring” into “earrings”, but can’t go backwards. So if all your items are tagged “earring” it will not show up in a search for “earrings”, which is problematic since it seems much more natural to search for “earrings”.
In light of this, the subcategory was changed to “earrings”.
I apologize for any confusion over this, and any extra work it causes sellers. You can edit a listing’s tags without incurring any additional fees from Etsy, and if you come to Brooklyn I’ll share my secret Oatmeal Cookie stash with you as penance.
As for nuovovita’s observation about the number of items coming up in search results differing from the category browser, this is because the search is flexible and can pick up both a singular and plural words in one fell swoop, whereas the category browser is not.
So go ahead and tag with just “earrings” and use your other tags for something more exciting :)

Reserved or custom order items should be listed at their full sale price. Listing a full-priced item for 20-cents is considered fee avoidance (of the 3.5% sale fee).
Trade items should also be listed at full price. You are using an item as a form of currency in this case, but you still need to pay Etsy appropriately for the transaction.
