Etsy experienced technical difficulties yesterday that have resulted in more than 36 people being able to register for the showcase. The “overflow users” will be removed from the showcase and issued a refund. See this thread for more details.
Edit by Lis If you reserved a showcase on one of the dates listed below, it’s possible that you have been “de-scheduled”. Info posted by RD in the same thread:
Okay, the following dates had overflow and had to have showcase slots removed and refunded:
2007.08.16
2007.08.17
2007.08.18
2007.08.19
2007.08.22
2007.08.23
2007.09.01
2007.09.07
2007.09.14
2007.09.15
If you signed up for a slot on one of those dates, there’s a chance you have been de-scheduled. Your Etsy -> Your Etsy Bill will show you if you are still signed up for a date or not.

They are moving Showcase to its own database. Chris read our minds!
If Showcase dates were not charged to your Etsy bill earlier, check again! It should be there now, as per Chris in this thread.
For people having other issues regarding Showcase (for example: charged for 2 spots on the same day), Chris has rectified issues through this thread. You may try posting in there to get his attention.

The Next Showcase spots will go on sale Wednesday, Aug 15th, at 12:00pm (noon) EST. We will be selling the next month of the main Showcase.

However, they sold out within minutes. This will teach you a lesson for not checking the Etsy forums first thing in the morning. ;) *just kidding*

Please note that spaces usually sell out within minutes, so if you want one or two, be ready! :)

In this thread and others, people are posting bugs about a problem with Showcase turnover at midnight. If you’ve notice that also, Jared is looking for answers:

Did you see no items? Did you see items you thought were from another day?
Thanks, I’d like to try and get to the heart of this problem, although I’ve been unable to verify any of the phenomena reported here.

If you can contribute to solving the problem, that would be great. Also, we suggest that if you have a showcase item, if possible, check to make sure you item does show up when it’s supposed to.

Admins have listened to the pleas to have Showcase go on sale at different times to be fair to global users. Here is a summary of the info provided by Admin in the blog:
Spots for May 16 to 29: Sales start May 14 @ 6pm EDT
Spots for May 30 to Jun 12: Sales start May 15 @ 12pm EDT
Each person is only allowed 2 spots for the entire 4 weeks.
Please proceed to the Showcase Gateway to purchase your spots at the correct time.

*yes , I know I mentioned April 21st and 22nd before. That was incorrect, the site was up for the full 24 hours on the 21st
Please note the difference in who gets replacement spots.

If you had a Showcase date on April 21 and/or 22, good news - you will automatically get a make-up date, without having to do anything. From this thread:
