Etsy has added a new alert at log in, just below the top navigation bar (where alerts currently appear regarding feedback and billing).
Today’s login alert reads
Etsy will be performing site maintenance starting 7pm Sunday EDT. Click here to read more.
In this forum thread Stellaloella asks:
What suggestions does the community have for us? What do you all think it would be important enough (other than site maintenance) to require a login alert?

What great news. It’s what we’ve been asking for, and they actually did it. It’s so nice to know about site maintenance before it happens. Woo Hoo.

i don’t see that in any of my accounts :(

ah! I figured it out….you have to click login and have it bring you back to the main page when you log in. If I click Your Etsy and then log in directly to my shop I don’t see it.

Good addtion, long overdue, but Etsy turned me off many months ago, and any brief encounter I’ve had with them has been all negative. Changes and improvements are good, but sellers just aren’t important to Etsy, never have been.
I do want to point out that Stella asks “what are your suggestions?” as if the thousands of seller suggestions were never read, never considered, and Etsy ignored every single one of them. And you know what, despite all the hoopla over the last few weeks, what are most of the 63 doing all day? Posting about 30 new articles a day on their awful blog, ignoring sellers until a few dozen need to be muted again, those darn pesky sellers. Damn.
