I’m going to take this opportunity to ‘call out’ admin HeyMichelle. She entered the fora this evening and has been super-busy answering questions and moving relevant threads into Ideas from other sections, to give them the exposure they deserve.

The little dance of joy continues. Nice to see stuff taken care of pretty much on request. Makes you wonder why other items never, ever even get a ’sorry, we probably won’t be doing that’.

Wow.
I must say, I’m perplexed as to why the miniaturists suddenly had an ongoing thread shut down, with an admonition to not discuss it any more (?!). I was really excited about the quick attention HeyMichelle was handing out in the fora this evening. I realize she does not have the power or authority to effect every change and request from the community - but to silence an entire group of sellers?? That was a complete about-face. Such conflicting messages being sent . . .

She’s also been very busy rudely shutting down threads asking for a Dolls and Miniatures category. She’s definately *not* endearing herself to us.

The thing that strikes me, and you can make of it what you will, and also, time will tell, the last time a big bunch of threads asking for something got shut down the next Monday that feature was rolled out. Etsy has this extremely odd concept of customer relations and seems to think that it will spoil the surprise or maybe take all the fun out of something if there are all these threads open with all these pleas for for help. If they AREgoing to roll that new category out it would be much better to let you know that it’s really coming very, very soon, because the way they’re going about it makes it look like y’all don’t count AT ALL.

I can tell my “secret” now, which isn’t worth 2¢ anymore. I was told by an admin that they were revising the categories, and this was to be included in mid-September. Thus the “I have a secret” posts.
Alas….they lied though. Never trust a top level admin.
Thus sayin…
