Interesting! So, I’m guessing from the info found at the end of that URL that Sean is going to be (among other things) helping Etsy develop its public API - which Jared has recently been commenting on.

Sounds exciting, actually. And, don’t forget that Chad is now officially on board. Yay! I am hoping this signifies big - and useful - changes.
The hard part for members will be summoning the patience needed to wait out the changes. I hope Etsy will see fit to keep us all informed via a new Announcement page.

That’s true- I think we will have to be patient a while longer. While Etsy’s problems may be old to us, they are new to Chad and Sean (and even Maria). They didn’t make the mess and it might take them a while to clean it up. I think communication is the key. People will be so much more understanding if you give them information while they are waiting. A good example is the recent small billing snafu where some people got double charged. I was one of the people, and the refunds took longer than initially stated- but Etsy did a great job to keep us informed every step of the way. They sent several emails and Matt posted forum updates. That was really all it takes to keep most people satisfied.
