Etsy has improved the search function to allow searching within categories and subcategories using tags. Previously, only searching within top level categories was possible.

I still don’t understand. I wish I did.
Honestly, when people like me, fairly adept with computers, don’t even understand Etsy’s stupid search, I wonder who really does.

While I think more still needs to be done, I think this is a step in the right direction. When I do a regular tag/title search on green dress, I get 69 pages of “stuff”, maybe even a couple of green dresses. When I go categories > clothing > dress and type in green, I get 33 pages of green dresses.
So it’s a step, but not an answer.

okay, I read more about this.
So… what? This is such an insubstantial change. Seriously, it’s hardly what it was billed as. No wonder we were confused.
