    My opinions:
The Gift Guides have been added which seems redundant since they are in the navigation bar on EVERY page of the Etsy website.
The showcase has moved up the list which is good since people are paying twice as much for it.
Sellers has moved way down the list, which is kind of sad
Storque Related Items has moved way up the list. The Storque showcase is still not linked on the Buy page.
Overall I think it’s pretty good changes, although thik they should just get rid of Time Machine. Does everyone agree TM2 is much more usefu? Having them both just seems confusing to a newbie and adds to visual clutter. Suggestions, Birthdays and Connections are also fairly useless IMO but maybe some people use them.

I think the ideal arrangement would be
    Categories
Showcase (should be second to get maximum value for the people who pay for ads)
    Gift Guides
    Treasury
Time Machine 2 (rename to Time Machine, since I’d eliminate the other time machine)
Geolocator (rename to search by location)
    Colors
    Sellers
    Featured Sellers
    Storque Related Items

I think the sellers should be higher up on the list….it and categories are the only fair share listing of shops or items…followed by TM2 and showcases

That is a good point Alicia. 4 out of the top 5 links are curated or paid sections now.
Categories and Time Machine are more egalitarian.
    Treasury- curated by users
    Gift Guides- curated by admins
    Showcase- paid
Storque Related Items- curated by article author (could be admin or user)

what does everyone think about dumping time machine 1 and renaming time machine 2 to just plain time machine? That is one of the rare cases where the sequel is better than the original! TM2 is awesome but TM1 is kind of useless.

It’s nice they cleaned it up, it looked a bit disorganized!

I think the the original Time Machine is somewhat useless. It’s fun…toys are fun, and tools are useful. I prefer the tool when it comes to a site that people use for business. Colors is similarly useless, and Connections and Suggestions desperately need to have the Sold items filtered out. Unfortunately, the TM2 is getting less useful as it is repeating itself more frequently now I think because Items are selling faster, though I don’t understand that bug.

The ‘Sell’ page is totally useless. At this point it’s a mild FAQ about selling and I think they could do A LOT more with that space. Etsy probably just it that there because Ebay used to have a “Buy.. Sell..” in their top banner! The page should have links to the various ways you can advertise on the site. That would be a heck of a lot more useful.

I think the ‘Sell’ page is just a gateway for the new user who wants to sell. It should be beefed up, for sure, with links to actual INFORMATION. Like the TOU, the D&D, etc. The amount of info that is provided to a new seller is pathetic, as in, what you see on the Sell page is IT. No wonder people have no clue about what they can and can’t sell, they get zero information. I’ve ranted about this before - the introductory email tells them to go ask questions in the Forums. No mention of the D&D, the FAQ, etc. Crazy.

I agree that the original Time Machine could go away. Visually it’s not that different from other things on the site, and TM2 does more. I do wish, however, that we could drag, scroll or choose a certain point in time like we used to be able to. That was great.

Yes, it is supposed to be a gateway for users who want to sell.
The information hasn’t changed in forever, and I think the page could be so much more useful…. I can’t imagine many people click that link to choose ‘List an Item now’.

They should change it to point to their new ‘How To Guides’, too.
