Treasury Explosion Party a success

In this thread Jared posted about the success of the Treasury Explosion Party:

We did it! The Treasury explosion party was a brilliant success.

At approximately 12:08am EST, the Treasury crashed with 57 people simultaneously logged on and waiting for the last list to expire (thus opening a new Treasury spot).

This is exactly what we wanted; to view a Treasury crash in semi-controlled conditions.

Now we will retire to our dark examination rooms to pour over the nearly 20 gigs of log files and reports. For those of you a little more visually inclined, here’s a nice graphic of the event:

The fix won’t be immediate, but with this new information we’re more prepared to find and fix it. Thanks everyone for your patience and assistance in the greatest Treasury explosion party in Etsy history!

57???? Is that really correct or is that a typo? 57 doesn’t seem like many at all compared to the thousands and thousands of people on Etsy! Should it be able to handle more than 57 people?

I think it was 57 people trying to connect to the treasury database all at the same second, because there were hundreds more than that already in the Treasury when it crashed.
