Sorry for the independent post for something so minor. I normally would’ve just updated our existing post about the new billing system but I don’t want this to take anyone by surprise.
Under Etsy’s old billing system, the due date on your existing closed bill was Sept. 27. That bill (those bills) are now due on September 15th.
If you had bills prior to Sept, those have been back-dated to show they were due (and now past due) on the 15th of each respective month. e.g. Aug will show Aug 15 as the due date, July will show July 15 as the due date, etc., even though the bills previously all shojwed Sept 27 as the due date.

That is pretty short notice, considering it’s most of July and August’s charges on the current bill. But Etsy have also said they won’t start applying late fees until January, so I think if someone doesn’t pay until Sept 27 they won’t face any penalty.
But I suspect that yellow smiley face in the billing section might turn red and angry on the 16th if you haven’t paid. Or maybe it will frown and start crying, this being etsy.

WTF? I just posted a comment to teh etsy thread - they have BACK/post dated the due dates for each month to the 15th of each month even though prior to the new system, the due date was reading Sept 27.
If I get any neg repercussions from this, I’ll take it to the mat.
Seriously, I think they need to rein Chris in.

Meaning the back-dating isn’t only for Sept - it’s for ALL the months.

That doesn’t make any sense. While I’m glad they separated each of the months (which, for me, didn’t really happen. january-april were STILL all lumped into one month.. but whatever), why would they backdate the charges? That seems a little fishy to me… since payments were never late until after the 27th. Grr.

*sigh*
I paid the entire balance owing on my bill on Sept 13, my Etsy balance accordingly showed a zero balance after payment as well as a “$” icon showing payment. BUT not my account displays as if I never made the payment. Fortunately, I printed out the account page after I paid. I sent an email to billing@etsy.com but no one has responded yet.

I’d recommend printing out your Etsy bill page after each payment you make and check the bill page often (unfortunately). Although no one replied to my email to billing about my 9/13 “disappeared payment” (see above), the payment has been restored to my Etsy bill page. I hope this was just an isolated glitch.
I love my print-outs.
