Apparently Etsy.com’s source code is full of wonders. I’m not brave enough to try to read through it all, but thanks to the Mac-only browser Safari’s rendering problems, a few sellers caught a glimpse of a potential future feature: Etsy blogs.
Here’s a screenshot (thank you selflesh!) of what they saw: (click to enlarge)

RevolvingDork says:
This is an intentional glimpse into the future — we were wondering when someone would find it. ;P
matt says:
Eventually, we all will. It was something that we had planned for V2, but were not able to implement because of the vast scope of the entire project. They foundation has been laid for them and at some point we will integrate them into the site.

Had I an Etsy blog, I think I’d use it mostly for shop announcements and braggable stuff, keeping seller shout-outs and very personal posts at my independent site. How would you use an Etsy blog?

“Mac-only browser Safari’s rendering problems” …
IMO this is actually more likely to be an Etsy code problem than a Safari one. Just sayin’!
As for using a blog, yeah, shop announcements and that sort of thing. I can’t see it would replace my main blog.
