Etsytools.com reveals their identity

Etsytools has “outed” their identity
they are http://interrobang.etsy.com and http://vertis.etsy.com

EtsyTools says:

[This is not an admin post. Etsytools.com is not affiliated with Etsy, Inc. or Etsy.com]

Hey guys, thanks for bringing this up. We’ve been having issues with the site today, and I’m so grateful people let us know, because I was at work and had no idea.

Regarding our other accounts:
I am the female half of Etsytools, I’m also Interrobang. My partner in crime is Vertis. Up until this point we weren’t openly discussing our other stores, and that was probably a mistake, but I made that decision out of fear. The idea of being under a microscope by all these people scared the living daylights out of me, and it still does really.

Anyway, thanks for your support, we’re going to be working to get things fixed tonight!

Dyno, how great to see a post from you again. Your reason and logic is truly missed in the forums. Sadly the forums are not what they were a year ago and that is truly frustrating.

As usual EtsyNews gives me the info I would have missed. Thanks for this update. I was stressed that EtsyTools had been shut down or that Etsy had somehow blocked them and sent them an email with my concerns. Glad to know that it was only technical problems.

There real identities were never an issue for me.

Thanks for coming forward, although I am sorry you felt you *had* to.

Also, thank you for bringing us Etsytools.

I missed the forum drama, but am relieved it passed me by.

Whoot! (Feeling smug cos I had a hunch ;-) It is incredibly brave of them to ‘come out’- and I wish only the best for them. Ditto to everything Dyno said!

Yeah, the mob mentality of the forums is bewildering. Can’t believe that 1) These features had to be instigated by sellers and 2) the reactions they got.

I hope people can be somewhat gracious and acknowledge what a great service this is, and stop complaining. Otherwise EtsyTools may just go away for good.
