I decided to get a showcase, as I am thinking of coming back on a regular basis. The site is STILL slow. Images are not pulling up fasting enough, and if weren’t for the fact that I was so vain as to want to see my own item on the showcase page, I probably wouldn’t wait.
Has Etsy improved *at all* in the last 4 months?

Are people finding the showcase still effective? I never click on it anymore because I’m used to seeing it. Wish there was still offsite marketing through it.

I’ve never found the showcase to be very productive and would rather relist my oldest 10 items any day!

I didn’t even know they were on sale. Still I’ve bought loads of slots over the last couple of months, and the result has been a big fat zero. With Etsy having all these problems, I don’t find it viable any more.

I took the counts of my items right when I purchased the showcase. I’ll compare the counts later.
Although, considering the site is down AGAIN, I won’t count on many views. I don’t look at the showcase as a way to make sales, but to atleast get views.
Man. Burned AGAIN with the showcase. That’ll teach me to purchase one.

I’ve bought something like 7-8 showcase spots. None boosted sales or hearts or views compared to other days - to be fair, I had a stretch of slots when the site was down all the time it seemed including a huge chunk of my showcase day and I got one sale from one showcase because someone posted in the fora about supporting showcase peeps on that day. My first round was during Valentine’s Day and I had slots on the boys’ showcase. The holiday showcase sounds like it brought a lot of people more view but I am assuming that’s because it was externally linked. My feeling now is unless etsy links from an external site with traffic, I likely won’t buy another showcase. That being said, I think it might be more useful for sellers who aren’t on the fora a lot because it could just be a recognition thing.
I wish they would limit one showcase per person for each round. I was a little appalled to see two accounts by one person have a slot each on one day :(

My last Showcase (on Monday) I sold close to 10 items. Today I know at least 2 sales that were from the Showcase. It works for me all the time, and I will just keep buying it. :)
